More about this collection
Tayco Farms RSO hemp extracts include a compact oil syringe and an MCT-based tincture. The current product descriptions identify the range with whole-plant, full spectrum hemp extract, including a CBD-focused syringe. This collection explains the differences in packaging and label terminology so that the format, extract amount and cannabinoid information can be read together. RSO is an extract name; it is not a complete specification of the contents of every product bearing it.

Syringe and tincture packaging
The RSO Syringe uses a 1 mL container and is listed with full spectrum CBD extract. The RSO Tincture comes in a 30 mL dropper bottle labeled 3,000 mg RSO and lists MCT oil as a carrier. These are different formulations and package formats, so a comparison should keep both the stated amount and the container size in view.
A milliliter measures volume, while a milligram measures mass. The number printed beside “RSO” also needs its label context: an amount of extract is not automatically the same as an independently measured amount of CBD. Read the complete product label and relevant laboratory report before treating numbers from different products as equivalent.
What the RSO name tells you
RSO stands for Rick Simpson Oil. The name is commonly used for a concentrated whole-plant extract, but it does not establish one standardized cannabinoid profile or manufacturing process. A specific extract can differ in composition, refinement and carrier ingredients from another product using the same term. Those details belong to the individual product and batch.
RSO and rosin should not be used interchangeably when comparing manufacturing methods. A full spectrum designation does not certify that a particular extraction process was used. Look for product-specific information about the extract and carrier, and use the matching test report for measured cannabinoid results rather than inferring the process from a category name.
Reading labels for RSO hemp extracts
- Identify the measured substance: distinguish extract mass, CBD amount and total cannabinoids.
- Keep the package basis: a whole-container total is different from a concentration or a serving amount.
- Check the formulation: a concentrated oil and an oil blended into an MCT carrier are different preparations.
- Match the batch: laboratory information should refer to the same product and lot you are reviewing.
- Read separate test panels: a cannabinoid result does not stand in for every other type of laboratory testing.
Questions about this extract collection
Is RSO the same as rosin?
No. The terms refer to different extract descriptions and should not be substituted for one another. A product’s manufacturing information is needed to establish its actual process. The RSO name alone is not evidence that an item was produced without solvents.
Does a dark color establish strength or purity?
No. Appearance cannot quantify CBD or other cannabinoids and cannot verify purity. A label and a matching laboratory report provide more specific information than a photograph. Our guide to reading a hemp COA explains how to locate the sample identity, cannabinoid panel and reported units.
